This technique combines the art of aromatherapy with massage to introduce the revolutionary effects of Young Living therapeutic grade essential oils for balance and harmony.
What is the Raindrop Technique?
It is based on the theory that many types of scoliosis and spinal misalignments are caused by viruses or bacteria that lie dormant along the spine. These pathogens create inflammation, which in turn, contorts and disfigures the spinal column. Young Living therapeutic grade essential oils are dispensed like little drops of rain from a height of about six inches above the back and massaged along the vertebrae and back muscles. Oils used are: Oregano, Thyme, Basil, Marjoram, Peppermint, Wintergreen, Cypress, and two powerful blends. Learn why I use Young Living essential oils exclusively by contacting me by e-mail.
Swedish massage uses five styles of long, flowing strokes to massage. The five basic strokes are effleurage (light touch), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), compression, and vibration. Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness, and improving function in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee over a period of eight weeks.
An ancient technique has found its place in the modern world of healing. Massage cupping is a modified version of the common practice of cupping therapy, used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and the results that this simple treatment produces are impressive. Through suction and negative pressure, massage cupping releases rigid soft tissue; drain excess fluids and toxins; loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue; and bring blood flow to stagnant skin and muscles.
Clients often feel deep warmth during the session and a tingling sensation long after the treatment has ended. Massage cupping is not an irritant to the skin or body. It draws the inflammation out, and does not add to it.
This is an amalgamation of techniques used to tailor your massage to your specific needs. Based on my expertise as a Medical Massage Practitioner, I have the ability to utilize these skills for your benefit. This incorporates and is not limited to myofascial unwinding, stretching, trigger point therapy, and massage cupping.
